The challenge

A technology company required support for a five-month project in the areas of data and pipeline engineering, software development and Kubernetes operation.

The challenge was toensure stable deployments, efficient release management and reliable operation of complex applications and containerized infrastructures, while simultaneously integrating multiple systems, databases and monitoring tools .

The collaboration was mainly remote with limited on-site presence, while continuity, quality and security had to be ensured across the entire IT landscape.

Our solution

We provided comprehensive support for the project in the areas of data & pipeline engineering, release management, software development and Kubernetes operation.

The central activities included:

- Deployment automation with Ansible and AWX

- Scripting for operational tasks and automation with Bash, Python and Perl
- Monitoring the IT infrastructure with Checkmk
- Operation of Linux applications such as GitLab and Graylog
- Administration of databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Operation and maintenance of containerized infrastructure on Kubernetes

The implementation was mainly remote, with around 10% on-site presence, which ensured efficient collaboration with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

The result

The project resulted in a stable, automated and comprehensively monitored IT environment throughout its entire duration.
